After People magazine revealed its highly anticipated $14-million, 30-page spread of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s newborn twins, Vivienne and Knox, mass chaos broke out among overzealous fans nationwide — and only “It’s CandyTV” went on-location to investigate the riots — as well as to report the troubling signs of a condition called “Brangelunacy.”

We all have those moments of temporary insanity. Tom Cruise jumping on the couch for, example. Julia Roberts marrying Lyle Lovett. Tom Cruise snarling that Matt Lauer shouldn’t be “glib.” Hugh Grant paying for the back-seat services of Divine Brown. Tom Cruise doing most anything that he does.
And mine…? Well, my moment of (not-so-) temporary insanity may be thinking I can do “It’s CandyTV” on a daily basis. But, as my grandma would wisely say, “Why the hell not?”
The video blog has come a long way, and made an appearance on several of my sites, but I believe the time has finally come for it to have its own home — thus the launch of ItsCandyTV.com. For those who aren’t familiar with “It’s CandyTV,” it’s a satirical news show lampooning celebrities, pop culture and other deeply profound issues. And if you’re wondering why you should, well…
… Why the hell not?
After all, it’s not rocket science. It’s CandyTV! All that’s required is a sense of humor.
On today’s episode: Candy gives the 411 on the new format AND chats with some folks on Hollywood Boulevard about the truly pressing issues in the celebrity world.
